Welcome to Little Grey Pages

Heather and I are thrilled to share our little world of Little Grey Pages with you. The story starts today!

What is Little Grey Pages? Well, it’s a tale made up of a bunch of smaller tales. Sometimes it looks like a comic. Sometimes it looks like a illustrated book. Sometimes animals talk and sometimes people listen. Sometimes machines are more alive than the people that own them. Sometimes the past is a story all its own and putting it together the way it was meant to be told will make sense of today and tomorrow.

Every Wednesday we’ll bring you a new chapter of one of the following storylines, all from the perspective of the Archivist, the woman who found a thousand stories buried in a wooden chest in her backyard.

Red Panda and Crow: A furry fugitive escapes from the National Zoo finds an unlikely partner in crime.

The Beard Brothers: Three bearded boar brothers make their home deep in the forest. They want nothing more than to go about their business. But some of the locals have different plans.

The Rescue: Francine thinks she adopted Oscar. But the opposite might turn out to be more true.

Fretter’s Creek: Fretter’s Creek is a strange place. Everyone knows it, but few ever talk about the bogies and specters that hide in the shadows of the mountain valley. Two young adventurers, Henry and Harriet Applebaugh, are about to find out how Fretter’s Creek came to be the way that it is.

One question bugs the Archivist as she transcribes these tales: Who wrote them originally?

The most current post be the only one displayed on the home page, but at the bottom of each post, you can navigate between posts in two ways:

The ‘Previous Post’ and ‘Next Post’ buttons will take you to the chapter posted before and after the current post by date. For example, if the latest post is a Red Panda and Crow comic, and you click ‘Next Post’, the site will take you to the very next comic or story posted on the site chronologically, which may or may not be in the Red Panda and Crow series.

The ‘Previous Post in Series’ and ‘Next Post in Series’ buttons will take you to the chapter posted before and after within the currently selected storyline. For example, if the latest post is a Red Panda and Crow comic, and you click ‘Next Post in Red Panda and Crow’, the site will take you to the next post in the Red Panda and Crow storyline.

Each storyline has its own category and a link is provided in each post which will return the entire archive of comics and stories for the selected series.

Here on the blog, we’ll post information regarding changes to the site or stories, promotions/campaigns/giveaways and “behind the scenes” stuff if there’s any interest. Heather and I are big fans of comics, art, fiction and the gaming world in general, so you might find a little chatter about some of our favorites or the odd “this is so cool!” post too.

We’ll try to line up new blog posts with the weekly chapter and include a link in the post on the front page.

We want to hear from you! There’s a contact form on the site and comments are open. We’re shooting for an all ages crowd, so keep comments clean. We will remove what we consider inappropriate.

Needless to say, we’re excited! Little Grey Pages begins with a discovery…

‘I could tell you my adventures—beginning from this morning,’ said Alice a little timidly: ‘but it’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.’

‘Explain all that,’ said the Mock Turtle.

‘No, no! The adventures first,’ said the Gryphon in an impatient tone: ‘explanations take such a dreadful time.’
